Reminiscence Of The Great Vayalar

 Dear Anne, 

It was the reminiscence of The great Malayalam poet Vayalar Ramavarma, organised by college union Advitheya and Reading and Oratory club of MTTC. 

Vayalar Ramavarma identified as Vayalar, was an Indian poet and lyricist of Malayalam language. He was known for his poems which include Sargasangeetham, Mulankaadu, Padamudrakal, Aayisha and Oru Judas janikkunnu and for around 1300 songs he composed for 256 Malayalam films.

The famous poet Sumesh Krishnan sir was the resource person. He created a magic memory of Vayalar through his famous poem. He quoted many of the poems and proved the magic of literature. He explained the meaning of each lines with a touch of fun. 

It was a great experience, flew through the magic world of literature for a long time. It was touching and enlightening our hearts and souls. 

There was the prize distribution of winners also, session ended with vote of thanks.

#It was the second phase of Demonstrations. Another set of teachers and students. New concepts and new Activities and teaching methods . 

Demo 1

Today's first demo class handled by Gopika teacher, on the topic Gravitational Force in physics through Concept Attainment model. She clearly illustrated three phases of CAM through different activities. She wisely organised and implemented the classroom through different activities.

Demo 2

Second was by Ancy Teacher on the topic Periodic table and electronic configuration in Chemistry. She also gave different activities to students. Engaging and fruitful session. 

Demo- 3

Third class was by Sr. Jeena Maria , taught on the topic Covalent Bonding in Chemistry.She used so many activities and aids both ICT and Charts . Students were participated throughout the session. And she conducted a quick recap quiz at the end of the session to recall and fix the concept in students. She used many of Videos on the topic to gain attention of students. It was quite engaging class.

Self Reflection

These classes proved that how much you engage the students with activities, that much is the success of teaching. We have to pay attention to each of students and always try to understand their feelings also. How much content you poured in students is doesn't matter, how effectively you poured the ideas to think students is the only factor of a successful teaching. Also we have to pay attention to the time factor also. 

EXPLOSION OF CREATIVITY AND TALENT - Talent Hunt 2022

 

Dear Anne, 

It was another memorable moments of talent hunt. It was our talent hunt session of our junior batch. 

Talent hunts are the hunting of talents..... recognition of un-revealed , hidden talents and creativity. Full of vibrancy and enjoyment. Dias of unity and coordination. 

Yes, it was also another mesmerizing event with the little touch of modernity and youthness. EXPLOSION of creative thoughts and performances. 

First Program was by English students. They vibrated the stage with their performances including dances, group songs, thoughts etc. Their energy flourished the air, everyone was enjoying it so much.

Next was by Malayalam students. They were few in numbers , but they performed fantastically saying 

"Number is just number, 

Togetherness and hardwork can break

Any barriers in the world, 

Only determination is needed".

They suprised us by publishing a magazine full of their creativity. Then their group dance was excited every one, then they presented a new work named ' thullal abhasam' about the BEd college and our MTTC. It was funny as well as thought provoking one. They demonstrated with a brush of comedy and essence of fun. 

Then a few students presented their Poems also. Modern poems questioning every barriers made by society and it was their exploration of freedom..... Eye opening poems touched my heart. 

Totally in talent hunt, we realised the freedom of expression and thoughts of young generation, their eye opening words and powerful thoughts.... hopes....

Eagerly waiting for coming days....lots of hopes.....

Classrooms - Real Laboratories Of Future.When the right reactants in correct proportions in a suitable environment reacts together to create the actual product,that is the future promising student. The teacher is a catalyst who moderate and facilitate the class.

It was our beginning session of demonstrations. Neena ma'am gave a brief introduction of the session and about its phases. Today our Senior Students Nikhil and Gayathri took the demo classes. Students from St John's school were the participants. Session begins with the silent prayer at 10 am.

Topic: Image Formation in Concave mirror

Mode of teaching: ICT integrated

Nikhil taught the topic Image Formation in Concave mirror. The phases of teaching were clear and organised. Initiation and then progressed through activities using computer simulation on the topic. Delivered equal care and attention to all students, ended the session with proper closure. Students were attentive and active.

Mode: Concept Attainment model

Gayathri engaged the class as concept attainment model. Developed concept of reflection through presentation of different examples and it's explanation, also students were engaged with different activities, ensured their participation in learning also. 

A Thought blowing in my ear....

"Teachers can be a living example to their students. Not that teachers should look for students to idealize them. One who is worth idealizing does not care whether others idealize them or not. Everyone needs to see that you not only teach human values but you live them. It is unavoidable sometimes you will be idealized -- it is better for children to have a role model, or goal, because then the worshipful quality in them can dawn."

A heart touching Lighting Out Ceremony

 Dear Anne, 

It was another memorable and heart touching moment in life, our batchmate Preethi was releaving the college, since she got a government job through PSC. It was proud as well as a little sad moment. 

She is our elder and very dedicated and hardworking, going to be miss a lot. We conducted a small Lighting Out session, Neena ma'am gave a short speech and blessings. Preethi chechi also gave a few words about her memory in the class. 

 We presented a gift of our hearts as a token of our love. Prayers for her bright future and coming prospective future days ...

This week was our semester two Internal exam and Model exam. Full of tension, work loads, anxiety..... Monday was Edu 06 Education in Indian Society, it was easy . 

Tuesday Edu 07 Perspectives Of Learning And Teaching, Wednesday Assessment In Education, Thursday and Friday was our optionals Edu09 and 10.

Inauguration of TheoRadio 2022

 Dear Anne, 

It was the inauguration ceremony of Media Club of MTTC. 

   

MEDIA - The most powerful and Changing agent of our nation. The role of media is inseperable from our life. New technology has changed its face and look. The influence of mass media as well as the online media is very important in our daily life. 

Media club is one of the important and growing club in MTTC guided by Shafi sir, bringing more technical advancement in our college. 

Club was inaugurated by Vahid Chenganpalli sir, the senior editor, reporter of Doordarshan Kerala. He gave an inspiring speech on the topic ' Madayamalokhavum njanum' . It was such an interesting experience.... He shortly described importance of self discipline and passion in a profession for achieving success. 

Principal Benedict sir also gave a short speech on the topic. Inauguration of

Theo Express 2k22, and Logo Release was done.

I prepared the slides on the topic and presented in online mode . Positive Correlation is the relationship between two variables, in same direction. When one variable increases other also increases, and vice-versa.
