Blasting Annual Day 2023

 It was the annual day of the school. The inauguration ceremony was inaugurated by Adv. Prasanth ( M.L.A) and chief guest was G.S Pradeep( Aurator, TV show presentor ) . 

                

The programme started on 9.30 am, and it was the dias of many more different talents and became the stage of unity and coordination. Starting from 5th standard to plus two children were presented programmes. Dances, songs, folk songs, drama, etc were poured colours and flavours to the programme. 

                 

very energetic and throbbing performances....heart filling moments. we have programme duty , we prepared the children for the programme. 

In the afternnon we served mid day meal Sadya for all. the programmes extended upto 6pm in the evening,

Monday vibes , last lap of annual day.....

 It was another Monday. Starting of a busy week. Reached school 9.10 am. School was busy with preparations of annual day. Children were engaged in dances, song practice. 

I have second period in 9 A, most of the students were went for practice. I taught fullerenes and graphene - rest of the allotropes of carbon. I gave them activities and pick and paste charts. They done very well. 

In the morning there was the death anniversary of Gandhi, Martyrs' Day . The remembrance of Gandhi, gandhi darshan club of the school also celebrated the occasion. 

We were assisted and helped the students in their practice. They were really enjoying and very energetic practice session.

Afternoon, the school was preparing everywhere, putting flags, arrangements for seats. Last minute preparations.

In the 7 th period, i have class in 8c , i taught the concept of Electrification and Static electricity through demonstrations. And played a video for better attainment of the concept. 

Children were very curious and excited to welcome the annual day, we also....and we have duty also.

End of a busy week, Shraddha Class

 It was the end of a Buzy week, yes it is Friday. The school was in the final preparations of the annual day. 

Today, i have no periods. So I were prepared slides and videos for coming classes. And we were discussed the action plan fo next week. 

At 1 pm i took a special class in 8 C. I started the new chapter Static Electricity using various demonstrations including rubbing of different substances like rubber, PVC pipe, Scales etc. Students were very curious to see and perform such demonstrations. 

    

In 7th period, I got an extra hour in 9 A, and i taught the property, structure and uses of Diamond and Graphite using animated videos and slides and provided some activities for them.

And i got a chance to take a remedial class for 9 th students named Shraddha. It was a different experience for me. I taught the basics of chemistry and ionic bonds. Class ended by 4.30 pm. 

Another productive day and a vibrant day has fallen......

Film Screening Day

            

 It was a Wednesday. Today was the film screening day. In two sessions, the film My dear Bhootham was screened. The students were very curious and thrilled to watch the movie. And they were sat on the floor to enjoy the movie. Arrangements were made to screen the film creating an ambiance of the theatre. 

It was another Mesmerizing experience. The little ones were enjoying and sometimes a bit emotional and cheering. Watch the film with children was another different experience. 

So till afternoon I have no classes. Maya ma'am visited for observation, since we have no classes she returned back.

In the afternoon we distributed the mid day meal. And i conducted a unit test fo 9A on the unit Non metals.I prepared seperate questions for English medium and Malayalam medium. They written well. 

And in the afternoon I corrected some answer sheets and notebooks. We left the school 3.30 pm.

Another busy and productive day pouring more vibrancy. 

We have to learn so much from the little sunshines,young curious minds....

Each day is a lesson for me.......

OBSERVATION DAY 2

 It was another Tuesday. Another busy and productive day......

The second period was 9 A Chemistry. And i planned to take Preparation, properties and reactions of Carbon dioxide. I prepared some videos and simulation to prepare CO2. And students were very attentive and energetic. 

                              

And i gave them an interesting drag and paste activity, they done very actively. In the conclusion part Neena ma'am visited the class, and she asked me to continue the class in the third period. And i taught rest of the topic and gave them another group activity card and reinforced them by giving stars for their excellent performance. 

They were very active and energetic to grab the stars. Ma'am appreciated the strategy. Ma'am give very positive feedback. 

In the afternoon we distributed the mid day meal. And in the afternoon the Trivandrum club organised an awareness program for adolescent girls, and doctor took the session.And we assisted and managed the students. 

And we were arranged the roof top class for the tomorrow's film show for students. Afternoon we shifted to ground area. And we discussed tomorrow' s activities and action plan. 

Another day fallen.......

A Buzy Monday - Self Reflecting Moments....

 It was a busy day......

Monday rush was everywhere in the city.

Another busy week began. Reached school 9.15 am. Welcomed by smiling faces of my students.....

First period was 8C, and discussed the Hearing of humans and hearing aids and audibility range of animals and checked their home work also. And explained the hearing process through an animated video. 

Second period was 9 A , it was

the conclusion of the chapter non metals. And I prepared some activities for students and they have done very interestingly. And just started the next chapter World of Carbon. 

The third period was the physical education first phase practical exam. 5 students attended the exam and George sir evaluated the exam. And we took a group photo with sir. 

   

In the afternoon we distributed the mid day meal. Afternoon Maya ma'am visited our school and observed a few classes. In the last period I got a free period in 9 A and I taught the importance of carbon and the allotropes. Finally engaged them in a short puzzle. Students were very active and energetic. 

At the end of the session, I asked them to write a feedback of me. They wrote very well.

Another Mesmerizing day in the school.....

       

 It was another day full of positivity and utility. As per the time table I haven't any classes. But I reached school at 9.10 am, and welcomed by the morning wishes and smiling faces of my children. 

In the first period, our general teacher Maya ma'am visited our class and observed some classes. She gave more wishes for us. 

Till afternoon I prepared some activities and slides for coming classes and corrected the Physics notebooks of 8 C students. And corrected the homeworks. 

In the afternoon, we distributed the mid day meal. At 1pm , i conducted a special class in 8 C physics, gave some activities and video on noise pollution. 

Later we discussed our activities and action plans . And I got a chance to engage 9A free period. Gave some activities for students to energies them. 

A fruitful and eventful day........

It was an amazing day , full of energy and vibrancy. The morning journey to school was striking the dew drops and feeling the freshness of mother nature.....

Reached college 9 . 10 am . Till afternoon I have no classes, and we prepared some activities for students and engaged in some school activities. And we distributed the mid day meal for students in the afternoon.

5 th period, I have a class in 9 A , i prepared to perform a demonstration on the topic ' Identification of Chlorides '. And I ensured the participation of students also. Students were very excited to see the experiments and they were very curious about what is going to happen. It was another memorizing moments....

During my class , Principal Benedict sir visited and observed my class . And he marked the observation also, and signed the lesson plan of mine. Later we took a photo with sir.

 It was a wednesday. I got a free period in 9A in the fifth period. So that i decided to take the topic Identification of Chlorides using demonstrations . I collected the chemicals and required apparatus from the lab . I began the session with introducing the chloride salt as a mystery compound to arouse curiosity in students. They were very curious and enthusiastic to see and observe the experiments. I ensured their participation through out the experiment, mean while our Principal Dr. K.Y. Benedict sir visited our school and observed my class. Sir gave me very positive feedback. Finally we took a photo with sir.

Exploring Creativity......

 

It was another vibrant day in the school. Reached the school 9 .15 am and I got the second period in 8 C , and discussed about the chapter Sound in physics. And some students brought some toys producing sounds as I told, it was very creative and innovative. 

Later through various demonstrations discussed the factors affecting natural frequency of oscillations. They were curious in doing such demonstrations and small activities in classroom. And they completed the activity card after discussing groupwise. Also they have done the pick and paste chart. 

In the afternoon, we distributed the lunch . Afternoon I corrected the Chemistry notebooks of 9 A students. And they have submitted the poster on Importance of Protection of Ozone layer. They have done a great work and all the posters were very much creative and innovative also. 

Another productive and enjoyable day......

Day Full Of Energy and Positivity....

     

Today was another vibrant day in the school. Today was another assembly day organised by little sun shines of class 6B. Assembly started with a beautiful prayer, and students shared thoughts on Youth and Their Importance. 

Today was the January 12 National Youth day. And students shared thoughts on Swami Vivekananda and his quotable works. 

Also the students performed a short dance performance on Drug Abuse. It was very informative as well as innovative one. Later headmistress gave a short thought. 

Also the Rotary club of Trivandrum conducted a short program for distributing spectacles for students. 

Today , I didn't get any classes, but we attended the Counselling class for 10 th and 12 th students. It was very much interested and informative one. Sir discussed about the current issues that students faces and some tips for improving personality.

It was a productive day with full of energy and vibrancy.

General Observation 1

 It was a tuesday. I have second period in 9A. So i planned to take Nitrogen - Property, uses and Comparison between organic and Chemical fertilizers. I prepared videos and ppt for the presentation and i decided to conduct a debate on the merit and demrit of organic and chemical fertilizers. 

                   

 Mean while Joju sir visited and observed my class, and he gave a very good feedback . sir commented on the positive strokes that i was given to students, and the group activity, and the way of presentation. And he adviced me to control the mass answering of students.

Cocept Attainment Model ------- Sound

 It was a monday, i took second class in 8C. I took the Concept attainment Model on the topic Sound. 

                       

At first i presented some Yes and no examples related to the topic sound and then i asked them to write their observation on the activity sheet. Some of the students identified the topic, in the second phase, i gave a pick and paste activity by providing some random examples to the groups. and they correctly pasted the examples. The identified the concept in my mind was Sound. 

Then i explained the topic Sound and showed a video and an  simulation activity based on the topic,. Students actively participated in the session. 

A different experience from normal classes.

NEW PHASE - NEW BEGINNING

                   

                        A Quick Review - First Week

It was another important phase of my BEd life. The beginning of Intense Practice teaching , as I opted GGHSS Peroorkada. 

        

         

It is a small school in the heart of the city, girls only school. Nice environment and talented students and promising and hardworking teachers. Advanced infrastructure and good environment.

We the 13 students reached in the first day with a little anxiety and nervousness. Worrying about the new footstep in life. 

 First Day 

I got 8C and 9A for teaching Physics and Chemistry. My teachers were friendly and cooperative . In first day, I had no classes. We explored the school and met teachers and visited some classes. We got the opportunity to serve the mid day meal. And experienced several smiling faces and curious eyes looking at me. 

Second Day

It was assembly day, assembly started at 9.15 am. Assembly is filled with the participation of students through their songs, short speeches, prayer songs etc. 

I got 9A for the second period, it was a vibrant class, enthusiastic students, I just gave and introduction and asked about their interest in science and about their ambition. Many of them are very much interested in studying science. They are friendly and cooperative. I checked their previous knowledge about non metals and gave some activities and divided the class into 6 groups and named the groups for activities. 

       

Third Day 

It was a Saturday and I had two periods on 9A and 8 C . In 9A , taught Oxygen, it's preparation and properties, I introduced the lesson using animated videos and slides. They were very curious and energetic in doing activities. 8C was another gem students, I introduced the topic Sound through various examples from surroundings and hearing sounds from nature, they were very much interested in seeing videos and doing group activities.
