Unit test preparation, Demonstration with model

 It was another Friday, after two days of holiday school was again opened. 

 First period

I have first period in 8D. I taught Fractional distillation using animation and simulation. Students were very curious about the working of fractionating coloumn. They have nicely done the pick and paste activity. 

Second period

In 9C i taught Pascal's law using the working model that I have prepared. Using simulation and animation i explained the topic and students were nicely done the problems based on the topic. 

Last period, I got a free period in 8D, and i taught theory of separating funnel and sublimation. Rest of the time I made a nice interaction with students. 

Anti Drug Day Celebrations

" Strength does not come from physical capacity.It comes from an indomitable will.

It was June 26.International Anti drug day. As part of celebrations school organised a rally on Spreading the awareness against drugs among people. SPC unit, N.S.S members and other students lead the rally. 

And then in the afternoon conducted a Poster making competition and Speech competition and collage making competition of students.

Reading Day Celebrations

 It was June 19 Reading Day.The death anniversary of PN Panikar. The day celebrating importance of Reading behind successful life. Our school celebrated the reading Day by conducting so many programs. In the morning we had a special assessbly as part of reading Day Celebrations. 

The session was inaugurated by famous Malayalam poet Vibhu Pirappancodu.He made the session mesmerizing and heart touching. Sir talked about How does reading influences and changes life. He quoted the story of Indrans and Mahatma Gandhi. Through poems and stories he stoled the heart of students . 

And then students presented a tribute to famous Malayalam poems by reciting their famous poems. It was very interesting. Also the students of 9 A , 9 B and 9 C published their class magazine in the assembly. PTA president, SMC chairman, Head Teacher delivered messages to children.

Last period i got a free period in 8D, so I took the rest of the topic in chemistry, Changes of states and gave them pick and paste activity. They have done nicely and correctly.

Simulation and Model oriented Class

 Change of States - 8D

In 8D, I took the topic' Change of the states' using simulation and Model that i have prepared.  Students were very curious about the topic and they were very active in group activity that i have provided. I gave pick and paste activity based on the topic. 

Buoyancy and factors affecting buoyancy through Experiment and Simulation

 It was the second day in the school. In 9B I took the topic Factors affecting buoyancy through Experiments using spring balance, salt water and lemons to illustrate the effect of density on buoyancy. Students were very curious about the experiment. And based on the discussion I have given a pick and paste activity and an activity card. Students nicely done the works.

Intense Teaching Practice - Phase 2

 It was the first visit to G.G.H.S.S Kanyakulangara, as part of the Intense Teaching Practice Phase 2. Me, and Anju got the school. We reached the school at 9.30 am.

 First, we met the head master of the school. Then, sir described the school and activities. Then we met the concern Physical science teachers. And collected the time table and portions. They gave us a warm welcome and wishes. 

   

Beginning of New Academic Year- Orientation day 1

 Dear Anne, 

It was the beginning of the new academic year. And the beginning of semester 4 too. 

The Orientation begins with prayer and then , there was a short message by Dr. Joju sir our Principal in charge. And teachers gave a short talks on the new academic year and wished us a beautiful academic year. 

It was the farewell of our beloved Physical education teacher George sir. All the teachers as well as students gave them a hearty wishes from their bottom of the hearts. 

Then, the first session was by Dr.Asha  . she began the session with a story completion game. Then she talked about how can effectively teach and how to improve our communication skills in English. It was very informative and interactive one.

Later Dr. Reghu sir took a session on Time management, it poured so many lessons to our vision and life. He systematically presented and conveyed the Importance of Time management in life success. 

Afternoon session was handled by Joju sir, he collected feedback about the college and staffs. Then he gave a beautiful life message

"God doesn't want us to be successful but to be faithful "

Then , Bindhu ma'am gave a brief skeleton of the semester 4 and the activities to be completed. 

It was an eventful day.........
