Exploration of freshness, calmness - One Day Trip Mesmerizing Moments...

 Dear Anne,

It was another memorable day....our one day trip. Initially I thought, just one day outside the college and classes won't be much enjoyable, just visiting a place. But Trip -Thenmala poured a great experience even not feeled before.

After a long planning ,our college  organised trip to Thenmala and Palaruvi. We started the journey by 7am of 96 students and five teachers- Maya Ma'am, Mekha ma'am, Ancy ma'am,Joju sir and Benedict sir. The journey was fun and enjoyable, traveling in the bus with friends is another exciting moment. Though it was morning, the nature was fresh and calm ,poured it's freshness to us also.

The view through the window was heart filling . Found many more trees, small rivers, birds, twisted roads - truly relaxing and enjoyable.

Destination 1 - Palaruvi Water Falls

Our first destination was Palaruvi water falls, after the breakfast we reached there by KTDC bus. The travel to reach Palaruvi was excited, our minds were filled with curiosity and eagerness, and the nature also accelerated it's intensity. The soothing environment erased all other bitter , unpleasant experiences and thoughts.

The first view of waterfall stoled my heart, a mind blowing one. The water,  falls from a long height  and touching the ground with a charm. It is sparkling in the sunlight, like a little child . The milky water was showering everywhere. The hills were moving aside for welcoming the childish water.

"The freshness spreading everywhere, trees were enjoying its beauty, birds and animals praising it's beauty and freshness through their songs. Little fishes were roaming in the fresh and cold water, small frogs were enjoying the splash of water. Rocks were swimming in the cold water like a small child playing with water".

I was relaxing and enjoying the nature. It gave me more peace and calmness. All were busy with taking varities of photos and swimming in the water.

It is truly a wonder of nature, remembering the mother nature is still have the beauty and freshness even we destroying it's wealth and prosperity.

Feeling nature , exploring it's wonderful face is truly a memorable and heart touching moments......

Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind........

Cherishing moments

Splashing Through The Water, Breaking The Shackles

 Dear Anne,

After the Enjoyments in Palaruvi, we started our journey to Thenmala. THENMALA - the land of rivers , dams , of nature' s true and Unexplored beauty.

Unique scenic beauty and hillocks of high lush evergreen forests......

Thenmala's ecotourism is India's first planned eco-tourism destination. Located in the foothills of the Western Ghats, in Kerala's Kollam district, Thenmala is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A government-managed facility, this unique destination offers great opportunities for adventure and leisure, along with being one with nature.

It's an ideal spot for any and every type of vacation seeker and offers lush green forests, butterfly safaris, musical dancing fountains, and adventure activities such as trekking, hiking and night camping.

Ecological tourism is the next step in responsible tourism and the Thenmala Ecotourism area focusses on preserving, protecting and even improving the environment.

The Thenmala dam is the second largest irrigation project in Kerala, India. It impounds the longest reservoir in the state and water from the reservoir is also used for power generation. The dam was started in 1961 under the Kallada Irrigation and Tree Crop development project with an original cost of Rs. 13.28 crores. The revised estimate of Rs. 728 crores at the 1999 schedule of rates made the cost escalation to be reported at 5,356 per cent. The ayacut targeted was 61630 hectares and 92800 hectares . Though the project was targeted for completion, and priority in allocation was given during Ninth Plan, it could not be completed and commissioned fully. It is now a centre of attraction at Thenmala and an ecotourism destination, with boating available on the reservoir, which is bordered on both sides by the Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary.

The boating through the reservoir was excited a lot. We of 25 people were in the boat and it was memorable moments. The water splashes through the air, the water wave were created a path for us. The crystal clear water reflects our images showing the wonder of nature. The reservoir was surrounded by dense forests and long plants. It seems an infinite view of water , some small wooden pieces were floating in water seems fishes.

The journey was relaxing and accelerating our thoughts close to nature......

Roaming in Thenmala

 Dear Anne,

THENMALA is a never missing spot and we never explored it's complete beauty.an infinite spot filled with lots of Unexplored beauty.

   Destination 3

In the evening we explored Thenmala - leisure spot. A long walk through the park , exploring trees, small plants, sculptures of dinosaurs.....

Feeling more and more curiosity, walking with friends, enjoying the jokes, and moments with teachers are special. The sculptures were creating different emotions in me, a close walk through the lap of nature.

The dam view was another memorable moment. The water flowing through it generated a little curiosity, and the walk through the bridge was little adventurous and the view from there was breath taking.

Roaming in Night - Final Moments...

 Dear Anne,

We finally explored the culture zone of Thenmala. We missed butterfly park, adventure zone due to time shortage. But the last zone was really enjoying. There was a water fountain, mind blowing one. Dancing of water with the music, remembered me the experience in Mysore garden. It was fun and generated wonder of dancing the water with trendy songs. Really enjoying moments.

Later we went for Light and Sound show organised by them, revealing the history and culture of THENMALA and Ecotourism project. It was cherishing and the unexpected rain poured a heart touching coldness to that.

Nature showered on us with its beauty and prosperity.

Later we enjoyed the dance session, we felt a little sad of abandoning camp fire session. But the dance session erased it all. After a wonderful dinner at Kulathupuzha, we started our return journey.

Through out the journey I thought the memorable moments that this single day journey has gifted me.About Cherishing moments, the breath taking beauty of nature....

Yes, each travel gifts lots of fun, lots of Unexplored views, Cherishing memories that would last forever.

"Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”

CRITICISM - The True Reflection of the Class

"The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery"

   CRITICISM CLASS

It was my criticism class for class 8, on the topic 'Water- Electrolysis and Reactions of water with metals'. We took the class as a group of two,  me and Anulekshmi. I took the electrolysis of water and she taught reaction of water with metals'.

The class was last for 45 minutes and 18 students were present. We started with a silent prayer and I took the initial session. Students were really active and attentive

We demonstrated a few experiments and explained the concept using ICT including videos, animations. We engaged them with different activities and ended the session with providing review questions and follow up activities.

Last session was the analysis session, and Meenu, Anu Roy, Sruthi gave valuable comments and Neena ma'am added a few points on the session.

It was a different experience, came to realise and recognise the tips and tricks for a good class, how to manage the whole class, how to interact with students etc. It was another completion of a  step to my dream.
