General Observation Day

 It was a Wednesday. I have only 5th period in 9B. But our general teacher Maya ma'am came for observation. So that i arranged fourth period in 8D. I took the topic Atoms and molecules using simulation and ppt. Students were very curious about the topic and asked so many doubts and i clarified them all.

      

 At last activity was given they nicely done it. Ma'am gave me a very good feedback

    

In the afternoon I got 9B , so that i taught Position time graph and velocity time graph. Students were new with the topic so that i checked all the students graphs and provided much assistance. Last period i got a free period in 9B again, so that i took the hour to plot graphs. 

A fruitful day has fallen. 

Concept Attainment Model

 It was a Friday, end of a long busy week. I had 2 periods in 9C and 8D. 

Concept Attainment Model

In 8D, I took the concept Attainment Model on diffusion. First I provided yes and no examples then asked them to identify the concept. Then, i provided random examples of yes and no. They pasted correctly in the activity chart. And then i explained the concept of diffusion using relevant examples and simulation. Demonstrated the diffusion of ink in water.Finally conducted online quiz based on diffusion.

9C Capillarity, Adhesion and Cohesion

In 9C i explained adhesion and cohesion using various examples, then i explained Capillarity using simulation. Students have nicely done the activity that i provided.

Afternoon was the class PTA. We supported the teachers i organizing the class and arranging the session. 

Busy Tuesday

 It was a busy day packed with so many works and classes. Fourth period I took class in 9A. I taught Capillarity using different examples and demonstrations. Finally i provided a simulation based on the topic. They were curious and interactive with the topic. 

Afternoon I got a period in 8D, so that i explained the topic Origin and symbols of elements and worked out so many examples. They done very nicely. 

Then I got a free period in 9B, so that I took a new topic Graphs and its uses. It was a short class. Then last period i again got class in 8D, i engaged them in doing activity based on the atomic symbols. They competed well and some team got stars as well. 

A very fruitful day,.............

Relaxing Monday

 It was a Monday, I have no classes. 8D students submitted their notebooks and assignment. I have corrected them all. They did well the work. 

   

Chromatography Butterflies

 I have fifth period in 8D. So that i decided to take the topic Chromatography using a different and interesting activity of Chromatography Butterfly making. I just gave a brief introduction about the chromatography and the about the activity. Then, i distributed the Filter papers, Marker pens, water and glass to each of the groups. And then I gave direction to them. Each group nicely and attractively made the Butterflies. And they have nicely drew the butterflies on the activity cards that i provided. 

It was a different experience to me and children, through activities and experience they are learning new things....

Mango Fest

 It was another productive day. Since it was a tuesday I have only one period in 8D. Morning, NSS unit of school organised a mango Fest. We supported them in doing and arranging the fest. There was a lot of varieties of mango recipes were there-mango payasam, mango halwa, jam, burfi, icecream etc filled the minds of everyone. 

     

Afternoon I have class in 8D, and i taught the new chapter Basic Constituents of matter. I have taught elements and compounds through models and simulations. And provided an interesting activity Filling the garden. Students were very curious in doing the activity.

Unit Test

 It was another working Saturday. Timetable was made based on the Wednesday. 

I got a chance to engage 7B students in the second period. The children were very curious and active in doing activities and games. I engaged them in drawing with numbers and Concentration games. 

Third and fourth period i conducted test paper in 9B and 9C. In the seventh period i conducted test paper in 8D. Later I demonstrated the experiment of separation using separating funnel. I separated water and kerosene mixture using separating funnel. Students were very curious about the experiment. It was a lively interaction with students.
